To celebrate the competition victories of factory driver Johnny Cecotto - BMW launched a special version of the E30 M3 in 1989 that was named in his honour. This model introduced the 215 bhp version of the 2.3 litre S14 catalytic engine with 170 lb/ft of torque. All M3 Cecottos were painted either Misano Red - Macao Blue or Nogaro Silver and carried the Evolution II front and rear spoilers. They were further distinguished by their 7.5 x 16 inch BBS wheels.

On the inside - the Cecotto version had the half-leather Motorsport seats - an onboard computer - illuminated gear knob - special door sill plates with M3 insignia and a numbered plaque on the centre console featuring Cecotto's signature. A total of 480 of these were built for the European market but not the UK.

Diecast models are manufactured to various scales based on measurements taken from the actual vehicles. The rule to remember is the higher the scale number, the smaller the model!

So, 1:2 scale quite ltierally means it is 1/2 (half) the size and 1:4 scale means it is 1/4 (quarter) the size.  Here is a rough guide to the size of our models although this will vary depending on the size of the actual vehicle. Please note that the scale and size of models differs per department. Please refer to the individual product page to find out the estimated size of the actual model you would like to purchase.
