Postage and Packing - FREE DELIVERY
Delivery is free of charge on orders to UK addresses only. In order to qualify for free delivery, please select the Freepost Offer option at the checkout. Orders will be sent by Royal Mail Standard 2nd Class post (unless we decide to upgrade the postage method). Please allow up to 7-10 working days for delivery.

If you wish to receive your items before 7-10 working days, please select one of the alternative delivery options (either Royal Mail 1st Class or Courier) at the checkout. A cost will be incurred for these delivery services.

Postage and Packing - UK
All orders are sent by Royal Mail or by Courier depending on weight and size and the method you select at the checkout stage. Order delivery times are determined by the postage method you select. The delivery estimates detailed below are calculated from when you receive your despatch email unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Courier: 1-2 working days
Royal Mail 1st Class: 1-3 working days
Royal Mail Standard (2nd Class): 7-10 working days

If you have ordered more than one item these will be despatched once all items are available to be shipped. Items sent to any off-shore islands (inc. Northern Ireland) will be sent standard Royal Mail parcel post which will take longer to be delivered and may also incur a surcharge depending on the consignment weight. Courier deliveries will require a signature and as such, any instruction stating to 'leave in porch' or 'leave round the back' etc will be ignored. If you aren’t in and would like the delivery to be left with a neighbour (who will need to sign for the delivery), please leave a note at the checkout along the lines of ‘Leave with neighbours at no. 12’. You can specify a different delivery address from your billing address on the checkout page. Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee any delivery times.

If your order is being delivered by Courier, we are able to arrange for you to receive a text message detailing an hour time delivery slot. Please provide your mobile telephone number at the checkout.

Postage and Packing - Europe
We also deliver to Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. To calculate the shipping rate for these countries please add your products to the basket and proceed to the checkout. At this point the postage options (Royal Mail or Courier) and costs will be highlighted and you can select your preferred postage method. Items sent by courier should be received within 3-5 working days of your order being placed. Please note that we are not able to guarantee any delivery times.

Secure Online Ordering
To use the online ordering facility you must have cookies enabled on your browser. Cookies are used on this site to keep track of your basket ID only, and no other details are stored. The cookie is set to expire after 1 day.

Making an online purchase is easy. Just select from our catalogue the items you wish to buy and click the 'add to basket' button. The contents of your basket will then be displayed. If you wish to change the quantity of a particular item, simply amend the quantity for that item and then click the 'update basket' button. If you wish to remove items from your basket, click the 'Remove Item' check-box and then click the 'update basket' button. When you place an order online, all the payment details you enter are encrypted using SSL technology before being sent over the Internet. This is the standard method for online shopping to prevent your personal information from being copied or intercepted while being transferred to our computer. On receipt of your order you will be transfered to the WorldPay online credit card payment facility. Your order details are stored in a secure IBM Lotus Domino database to keep them safe from hackers, and your credit card details are not held as clear text on any web site or computer connected directly to the Internet.

Offline Ordering
If you are not happy about using our secure online ordering facility we can accept your order by telephone. Simply complete and submit the online order form then call us on 08456 44 70 44 to arrange payment either by credit card or cheque (note: when the lines are busy you may get through to our support department. If this happens, simply ask for the Mini Model Shop and you will be transferred). Cheques should be made payable to Mini Model Shop and sent to: Mini Model Shop, 11 Riverside, Sir Thomas Longley Road, Medway City Estate, Strood, Kent, ME2 4DP. Items purchased by cheque will not be despatched until the funds clear.

Free Personalised Number Plates
We can supply printed personalised number plates for you to stick to your model cars & bikes completely free of charge. This service is only available for the larger scale model cars (1:18 and 1:24) and most model bikes. Availability of number plates is indicated on the individual page for each item in our catalogue. These number plates are printed on self-adhesive tape which you will need to cut to size and apply to the model. To request a personalised number plate simply specify the details when you complete the online order form (one set of number plates per item ordered). Depending on the size of the item, each number plate can be up to a maximum of 8 characters in length (including spaces). Please remember that the plates we provide will be printed exactly as you specify on the order form so please check your typing!

Pre-Orders
Some items are available to be pre-ordered. In order to pre-order an item, payment must be made in full. Wherever possible, we will specify an approximate delivery date. If you pre-order an item we will contact you prior to dispatch. Once we have received the item in our warehouse we will dispatch it to you the following working day.

Available to Order
Some items we are still waiting to receive from our suppliers and we are expecting to receive these within 2-3 weeks (sometimes sooner). If this is the case, this will be highlighted on the product page and an estimated dispatch date will be given.

Back Orders
Items we display as 'in stock' are in our warehouse ready to be dispatched. Our website however can be up to half an hour behind the stock level system. If by coincidence you order an item that has sold out in the last half hour the item you purchased will be placed on back-order and despatched as soon as it arrives. You will be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait, in which case your credit card will be immediately refunded.

Mail List
We may on occasions send short marketing emails when new stock arrives. When you place an order you can opt to be included or excluded from our mail list. We do not pass on any customer details to anybody (including email addresses because we hate spam too!). Please feel free to contact us if you wish to be included in our mailing list, or if you have received an email and wish to be removed.

Representation
Although every effort is made to provide a detailed description of each item, this is only meant as a guide and we cannot be held responsible for inaccurate information. Item pictures and photos shown on this website should be used as a guide only, as true colour representation is not guaranteed.

VAT Charges
Orders are subject to VAT at 20%. VAT is included in all prices listed on the web site.

Returns Policy
We will replace faulty goods with an identical replacement item or refund your money if the item is no longer available. Faulty items must be reported to us within 48 hours of receipt and returned to us in their original, undamaged box within 14 days of receipt. They must not show any signs of 'wear and tear', damage or usage. All returned items must be securely packaged and a certificate of posting must be obtained from the Post Office. Replacement items or refunds will not be issued until the original item has been received by us.

Any items returned because of a "change of mind" will need to be returned at your own expense (within 7 days of receipt) and we will only refund the cost of the item. Please note that the item(s) must be returned in 'mint condition' (including packaging). Customers returning an item(s) that is not in 'mint condition' may not receive a full refund. Please call us on 08456 44 70 44 before returning any goods.

Please note: If you need to return an item to us because it has arrived damaged, please make sure you send it back to us using Parcel Post as this is the only carriage type that we will refund. Should you decide to use a different carriage type (eg. Special Delivery, Courier), you will only be refunded the equivalent Parcel Post carriage cost.

Radio Control: The majority of our radio control models come with a 3 month, manufacturers warranty (don't forget to register!) so if you have a technical issue with an item, your first call should be to the manfacturers support line. We will provide you with this number if necessary but it is normally on the warranty card or instruction sheet. PLEASE DO NOT return any RC items to us without prior authorisation as you will not be refunded.

Scale Sizes
Die-cast models are manufactured to various scales based on measurements taken from the actual vehicles. The higher the scale, the smaller the model.

WEEE Regulations
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge. The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Recycling reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. We are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us. Customers must return their like-for-like WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol and be disposed of separately from normal household waste. Please be aware that you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
