DML began in 1987 by manufacturing model kits and exporting them all over the world. They have since won numerous awards for their high quality models, from magazines and modelling organisations from across the globe. Aside from marketing products under the name Dragon they can also be found under the names Revell (in the USA), Italeri (across Europe) and Hasegawa and GSI in Japan.
After a decade of success in the model kits area, Dragon Models expanded into airline models aiming at collectors and also to those that would require them for promotional use. The result was the Dragon Wings line of 1:400 scale aircraft, which has since grown to become one of Dragon's most successful series.
DML maintain and follow strict standards of quality to reflect the original specifications of each aircraft, including features, working parts, accurate commercial and national livery and the scale. As such, Dragon is the official supplier of aircraft models for Airbus and Boeing, who use them for promotional and souvenir purposes.
